Tailstock die holder

This was a simple initial project that would provide the facility to cut screw threads more accurately than by hand.
The body was turned from a piece of 1.1/2" free cutting steel. This slides on a 10 mm steel rod.
The torque bar was made from 6 mm steel rod.

In use the slider bar is gripped in the tailstock chuck. At a later date a MT2 morse taper was made and drilled out 10 mm and the slider bar epoxied into the morse taper (see below). This eliminates the use of the chuck which saves space.
